In a time of constant crises and conflict – where support for global health, nature and climate is slipping – we’re reminded to seek moments that uplift rather than overwhelm. Because even in the face of serious global challenges, hope can still be a force for change.
This international Day of Hope, join the Global Goals Be Hope Campaign and help spark positivity in your community. Share stories of progress, opportunities for change and post Yinka’s stunning artwork with what inspires you.
Because when hope becomes action,
it has the power to change the world.
Real progress. Real proof.
In a moment marked by fatigue and fear, the Hope Report offers something different: evidence. Created in partnership with The ONE Campaign, it highlights real stories of change, policies that work, communities rising and momentum building.
Hope isn’t soft, it’s power.
And this report proves it.
Map of Hope
The World’s Largest Lesson is launching a Be Hope lesson plan. Designed for learners of all ages, this 45-minute creative session invites students to reflect on hope and express their visions for a better future through art.
At the heart of the lesson is a global digital story map, an inspiring collection of “hope art” from young people around the world. Each contribution adds to a powerful shared message: individual hopes can unite to drive global change.
By creating and sharing, students don’t just learn about hope—they become it.

Hope Island
Art by Yinka Ilori
To mark the first International Day Of Hope, The Global Goals partnered with multidisciplinary artist and designer Yinka Ilori. Known for playful projects that evoke a sense of joy and optimism, Ilori created an original artwork for the Be Hope campaign: Hope Island.
“In times when it is becoming increasingly difficult to find common ground, one thing we all share is hope. It surrounds us, uniting us in our aspirations for a better future”.
Inspired by this sentiment, Yinka Ilori plants a seed of hope in this common ground, patiently nurturing it in the belief that it will reveal its beauty.
Download and Share Yinka’s artwork and help spread the word of hope far and wide.

Today marks the first-ever International Day of Hope.
We’ve partnered with celebrated artist @yinka_ilori who says: “In times when it is becoming increasingly difficult to find common ground, one thing we all share is hope. It surrounds us, uniting us in our aspirations for a better future.”
His new piece ‘Hope Island’ creates a sanctuary where we can find refuge and unity, a place that holds us together and reminds us of the core values that underpin the Sustainable Development Goals: People, Planet and Peace.
Hope isn’t built on wishful thinking, but on evidence and solutions. Because when hope becomes action, it has the power to change the world. Visit globalgoals.org #BeHope! #GlobalGoals

Kindness is contagious 💛 and when we extend it to each other and the planet, we create a ripple effect of change.

Change starts with one, grows through many, transforms everything. We’re halfway through the most decisive decade for our planet, but LCAW 2025 has proven that urgent optimism isn’t just possible, it’s contagious. The collaborations formed, the solutions shared, and the commitments made this week will continue rippling outward long after the events end.

We’re halfway through the year, and that alone is worth acknowledging. This is your reminder that there’s still time to refocus, realign, or simply breathe. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Small actions still lead to big change. Rest can still be part of progress. And hope is still a powerful choice.

What does being a changemaker mean to you? We asked youth leaders and activists at the ECOSOC Youth Forum what it means to be a changemaker and their answers gave us hope, energy, and a glimpse into the future we’re building together.
